Check user details- When Gmail is not syncing the mail data from outlook. You should check the mail settings on the application. Most probably, the account is configured with the incorrect user details. that’s why it is unable to connect to the mail servers. So you need to update the user details again on the outlook application. Specially, the username and password. if you don’t know your password. you have always an option to reset it from the gmail recovery website. Check the server details- After checking the account details on the outlook details, you need to inspect the servers details for the gmail. The incoming and outgoing server’s address should be correct. there shouldn’t be anything wrong with these details. You can easily find the incoming and outgoing server details at google product forum. Enable the server from gmail side- When you test the account on the outlook, and it gets success in login but can’t complete the send and receive process. it means, the servers are not enabled from the gmail account side. In that a case, you need to go to the gmail settings and click on the incoming server. now choose enable the server, whichever you are using, and press the save settings. After that go back to the account settings and then enable the outlook application on the phone or computer. it should be working fine. Allow the outlook application from gmail- Gmail doesn’t allow outlook to access the mail data automatically. So you have to go to the manage account settings and enable the third party access. After that, you need to enable the access for the outlook application. Use the imap server- If New folders are not showing on the outlook app from gmail. You should check the incoming server. if it is using the pop server, replace it with the imap server. and then try to sync with the mail data again. it should be working fine now. So these are the steps to fix the outlook problems. in case, if you are dealing with some other issues. You need to remove the gmail account from the outlook app and then reconfigure it again. If that doesn’t work. you need to refresh the outlook profile and then configure the account with the new profile. It will start working again. Besides this, you should also check for the app update.
